iPhone 5 Being Bestselling Smartphone in the world ahead of Galaxy S3
iPhone 5 managed to become a winner by defeating the Samsung mobile phone sales during the fourth quarter of 2012.
Reporting from Tech Radar, Thursday (21/02/2013), the iPhone 5 being the best-selling smartphone in the world, which means get rid of the Samsung Galaxy S3 to third. While second place is still dominated by Apple with the iPhone 4S. This data is known based on the latest research to research firm Strategy Analytics, for the fourth quarter of 2012.
The study shows, the latest smartphone Apple sold 27.4 million units during the last three months of 2012. In the same period, the Galaxy S3 sold 15.4 million units and 17.4 million units of the iPhone 4S. So with combined sales of Apple’s second mobile phone, making the company from the United States (U.S.) control 20 percent of the market. However, these figures do not include sales of other Samsung phones.
The results contrast with Strategy Analytics smartphone sales in the third quarter of 2012. At that time, the Galaxy S3 actually ranks first with sales of 18 million units, while the iPhone 5 is only 6 million units and 16.2 million units of the iPhone 4S.
The total sales of smartphones in the world, known to reach 217 million units, up from 172 million in the previous quarter.
