iPhone 5 managed to become a winner by defeating the Samsung mobile phone sales during the fourth quarter of 2012.

The study shows, the latest smartphone Apple sold 27.4 million units during the last three months of 2012. In the same period, the Galaxy S3 sold 15.4 million units and 17.4 million units of the iPhone 4S. So with combined sales of Apple’s second mobile phone, making the company from the United States (U.S.) control 20 percent of the market. However, these figures do not include sales of other Samsung phones.
The results contrast with Strategy Analytics smartphone sales in the third quarter of 2012. At that time, the Galaxy S3 actually ranks first with sales of 18 million units, while the iPhone 5 is only 6 million units and 16.2 million units of the iPhone 4S.
